First things first

The shop is not currently taking orders. It opens in late 2026, once Abby finishes her master's program, and the mailing list will be told the moment it does. The terms below describe how ordering will work once it opens.

How ordering works

This website does not take payment. You send a request through one of our forms, Abby replies by email to confirm the details, the exact shipping cost for your address, and any applicable sales tax, and sends an invoice. Nothing is owed until you accept that invoice. Your order is confirmed once the invoice is paid.

Prices and tax

Prices are listed in US dollars and do not include shipping. Michigan sales tax is added to orders shipped within Michigan.

Shipping

We currently ship within the United States only, and you cover the shipping cost, quoted for your exact address before you pay anything. In-stock pieces, including mystery mugs, ship within 14 days of payment. Custom and made-to-order pieces take longer; Abby gives you a timeline with your quote and keeps you posted, usually with photos from the studio. If something delays your order beyond the timeframe we gave you, we will let you know and you may cancel for a full refund.

Every piece is packed carefully. If your pottery arrives broken, email us a photo within 7 days and we will replace it or refund you, your choice.

Returns

Ready-made pieces, including mystery mugs: if you are not happy, you may return them within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. Return shipping is on you, and pieces need to arrive back unbroken, so pack them the way they came.

Custom, personalized, and made-to-order pieces are made just for you and cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or are not what we agreed on. Abby shares progress photos along the way, so there are no surprises at the door.

Care and food safety

Functional pieces are made with food-safe glazes and are dishwasher safe. Pieces made for decoration only, like luminaries, gnomes, and Christmas trees, are not intended for food use. If you are ever unsure about a specific piece, ask, and Abby will tell you exactly what it is happy doing.

The pottery itself

Everything is hand-thrown and hand-glazed, one piece at a time. Small variations in size, color, and glaze behavior are not defects. They are the point.
